Intuition Rosé

From 2020 onward, the house began blocking malolactic fermentation on the Meunier to retain more complexity. This rosé pours a bright pink hue and opens to delicate reductive and smoky aromas lifting from the glass, including loads of orange peel citrus, framboise, and fresh flowers. Medium-bodied and energetic, it has an excellent pithy structure and notes of wet stone as well as snappy lift through the finish. A very nice, food-friendly rosé, it will continue to improve over the coming 10-12 years.

The NV Brut Rosé (47% Chardonnay, 24% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 9% still Rosé of Pinot Noir, all from Chouilly) offers lovely vinous intensity in a mid-weight, nervy style that makes it versatile at the dinner table or even as an aperitif. Crushed red berry fruit, blood orange, chalk and white pepper are all delineated. The airy, chalky finish is quite attractive. Dosage is 7.1 grams per liter. Disgorged: December, 2022. Medium onionskin pink with orange reflections and a fine, persistent mousse. On the nose there is delicate white peach, hints of wild berries and preserved red cherry, with some blossom honey. The palate is juicy, with fresh white apple, lively structure, lemony-mineral notes and a taut finish.
